Today is weigh-in day. When you are on a journey like I am trying to be on weigh-in day is certainly important. We must remember it is not the most or only important element. Have I made progress this week? Am I staying determined to make the changes necessary to live a healthier and more disciplined lifestyle?
The answer to these questions is yes, there was progress this week. I have a couple of excuses to throw out before I give you my weight. One, I was on a steroid regiment for poison ivy over the last week, so I think it played a factor. Two, I was traveling Monday–Wednesday to and from Wyoming working with a church planter so it was difficult to make the BEST eating choices.
I would give myself a B- for the week. Eating was certainly improved, but there needs to be more intentional exercise and even some healthier choices in the eating. I did average close to 3 miles a day in the airports while traveling. I am using MyFitnessPal to track everything I eat and staying within a healthy calorie range but need to tighten up the other variables. We start SoulCon next week, so the accountability level will rise and that is a good thing. It is a start, but we are only beginning!
